NSW NDIS Operational Plan signed

The NSW Government, the National Disability Insurance Agency and the Commonwealth Department of Social Services have now signed the NSW NDIS Operational Plan.

The signing of the Operational Plan is an important step in the rollout of the NDIS in NSW. It builds on the commitments outlined in the NSW NDIS Bilateral Agreement and sets out the activities needed for a successful rollout of the NDIS in NSW.

A copy of the NSW NDIS Operational Plan can be found on the NSW NDIS website

To support the implementation of the Bilateral Agreement and Operational Plan we’ve also developed the FACS Transition Plan.

The FACS Transition Plan outlines the work being done by staff and teams across the department and to support the move to the NDIS. Click here to read the transition plan.

With the Operational Plan and FACS Transition Plan now finalised FACS will start work on the development of local implementation plans for each FACS district. These plans will help districts set out the activities needed at a local level to prepare for the rollout of the NDIS.

Work is underway on these plans and more information will be shared in 2016.
