The NSW Government has selected The Disability Trust to operate the Mountview centre including its specialist supported living and respite services. The Mountview centre is located in Balgownie, Wollongong.

The Disability Trust currently operates a day program out of the Mountview centre and they will continue to operate this service after the transfer.

The NSW Government’s highest priority is ensuring residents continue to receive the support they need during and after transfer with minimal disruptions to both residents and staff.

The transfer

We expect the transfer to occur on 28 June 2018 and to support the continuity of care and retain a capable and experienced disability workforce, all staff and residents will transfer to The Disability Trust.

Details of the transfer are still being finalised and all staff involved in the transfer will be updated as information becomes available.

About The Disability Trust

It was an extensive selection process to find the right provider to take on the services. The Disability Trust has its roots firmly in the community, having been established in 1974 to help children with disability and their families in the Illawarra. In recent years they have grown substantially, and now have more than 1,200 staff providing care for over 4,000 clients.

Information and support

Information and resources about the transfer are available to staff on the Mountview page.
