Local Area Coordinators

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has appointed St Vincent de Paul SocietyUniting and Social Futures to deliver Local Area Coordination (LAC) during the transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The appointment of these providers reflects their success in delivering the Ability Links NSW program and their experience in linking people with disability with communities across NSW.

LAC is a vital function of the NDIS, with coordinators helping to streamline participants’ NDIS experience and assisting them to navigate the variety of NDIS supports available. Coordinators will also assist NDIS participants to build and pursue their goals and aspirations, and work with local communities and mainstream services to become more inclusive.
