The NSW Government has announced the next stage of the transfer process, with an Expression of Interest (EOI) opening in May 2016.

All of FACS disability services will be presented to the market through the EOI.

Non-government operators will be able to provide feedback about which services they are interested in, their capability, capacity and how they propose to run those services.

This will enable FACS to validate the suitability of potential operators for FACS services to maintain continuity of support for clients.

Following the EOI, a formal procurement process will be conducted to select new providers.Services will be presented in groupings that align with how FACS operates those services today.

Throughout these processes, FACS focus will be on ensuring the capacity of future providers to continue to deliver a quality service, including those people with complex support needs.

Once the formal procurement process is complete, more information will be provided about when and how each service will be transferred and how this affects staff.
